Early opportunity on my family’s old upright piano got me started at about age four. My self taught style continued throughout my teens. During this period and several bands later, my formal piano training began at Oakland University. I had a penchant for listening to classical organ music, and found the recordings of artists such as E. Power Biggs and Virgil Fox to my liking.
I graduated from Oakland University in 1977 with a pre-law liberal arts degree, but my interest in classical organ resulted in my return to Oakland University for a degree in Organ. After college my musical career continued by playing rock bands – mostly covers.
An opening five years ago in Rare Earth was an opportunity not to be passed up, and I must say I have enjoyed my life’s music more in this time than my entire life. I have toured in Europe and South America with the band, and continue to keep a working schedule with one the world’s great rock bands, Rare Earth!
